My Bio
Hey there; so how's life?

My name's Allen, and I live in the U.S. of A.

I'm seventeen and world-weary. I've lived across the globe and been a fool and a king and a stranger, and I'm happy with where I am.

I draw all the time, paint, play the piano semi-professionally, drink loads of tea, drive like a crazy person, cheat at poker, and fence. I also have a bit of a temper and tend to run around my house screaming with plushies on my head.

To explain the piano statement, I am a minor and still in school, so what I can do is fairly limited for now. I play in competitions (yes, they exist), at cons, for church (rockin' the unconventional meditation music--priests give me weird looks, but hey, people like the difference), for my school, and I sub in bands and things if it's needed.

I like to think that we need never grow up, because adulthood doesn't really exist. It's just more people pretending they know actually know what they're doing, and who takes the time to figure that out? You just have more options as to what to do with your time.

Pretty much everyone I know has informed me quite kindly that I am apparently the embodiment of Allen Walker of D. Gray-man, which I am actually a huge fan of. They also promptly forgot my actual name, so rather than have a major identity crisis, I just go by Allen in general now. Unfortunately, that also made me a baka moyashi by default. I'm not really that short, I swear. I'm 5'7". It's good enough.

Yes, I cosplay. I may put up pictures in the future, although I'm not like a hundred percent sure or anything--I can't think of anyone I know that's an amazing photographer or anything, so. But perhaps.

Well, why are you still here? Go look at my work and critique me for all I'm worth, and thanks in advance.

If you have any questions, comments, further information on some referenced cultural phenomena in a work, etc. etc. that you don't want to put in a review, or you're a friend who just loves me that much, I keep an email account just for FF.net, dA, and things along those lines. If you'd like to use it, just say hi at bakanda02@gmail.com. Closer friends will probably get my primary email, although I do check both pretty regularly.

Oh, and as a side note, if you ever think there's a copyright issue with something, please just let me know and I'll fix it immediately. I don't think there will be; I'm pretty careful, but just in case.

Banzaicon 2013

0 min read
Hello everyone :33 I know it's a bit late, but here I am reviewing Banzai 2013, which was Oct. 25-27 this year. Sorry about that; I was on a retreat and such, and then got a tad swamped with schoolwork. Honestly, as an overall review, it was absolutely fantastic. I cosplayed as Allen Walker from D. Gray-man (which was this cosplay's debut) and ran a panel, The Musician. The panel was a live music panel where I had a massive request list for congoers to ask for pieces off of while I played the piano--er, well, keyboard, I suppose. There were a couple of issues, though. It wasn't totally perfect or anything, but they weren't too significant

Honestly, I'm not very picky, although there are a few things that would be fabulous to receive. Of course, I'm not going to make anyone donate something that they don't want to. I'll be happy with anything, but as for things I would love, there is one. A banner for my Youtube channel, Xanthous Theatre. I really haven't gotten around to it and probably never will XD It doesn't even really have to be themed, but our colors are black, white, and gold if you care. It's for a lovely lovely cosplay group led by myself, so if you actually wanted to take the time to draw in the characters that would be even cooler. (Allen Walker is the main feature
